Description :
NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access) is a free “screen reader” which enables blind and vision impaired people to use computers. It reads the text on the screen in a computerised voice. You can control what is read to you by moving the cursor to the relevant area of text with a mouse or the arrows on your keyboard.
NVDA can also convert text into braille if we have braille display installed.
How To Install :
Step 1 : Goto http://www.nvaccess.org/download/.
Step 2 : Select donation type, one-off donation, monthly-donation and skip donation.
Step 3 : Provide email id and click download. A mail will be sent to your email id.
Step 4 : Click the link in the mail you received. NVDA will be downloaded.
Step 5 : Click on the installer. Continue with default settings.
Step 6 : Once the installation is over, you can use NVDA as screen reader.
Optional : While installing you may enable NVDA during start up screen also.
